Gewfy Industries, in proud association with the fine, fine folks at Spit & Sawdust, City Surf & Filtrate Eyewear bring you the School of RAD at Spit & Sawdust Skatepark in Cardiff on the 27th July 2014.
The School of RAD is an under 12’s Skateboard Coaching Session – a chance for you younger budding skaters to get a helping hand learning new tips & tricks with some of South Wales hottest sponsored skateboarders.
On Sunday the 27th July at 11am there will be an hours coaching for under 12’s, with sponsored skateboarders on hand to help you out – they will be there to answer any questions you might have about the sport – how to set up your board, teach you how to do tricks, tell you about how to become a professional skater, what it means to be sponsored, and any other questions you might have about skateboarding.
From 12 to 12:30 we will have 30 mins freeskate, so you can show off all the new stuff you learned, with mini-competitions and prize give-aways throughout the session – Prizes have been kindly donated by City Surf, Spit & Sawdust, Filtrate Eyewear & Gewfy Industries.
From 12:30 to 1pm, there’s a little something for the parents – Its Mum or Dad’s chance to see what all the fuss is about! They can get on a board and have a roll around with you, with the help of the pro’s to guide them. For any ‘older’ skaters out there, this is your best excuse so far to get in a skatepark and re-capture your youth. We’ll have a give-away or two here as well, in the session we’re calling RAD Dad’s Slam Jam.
The School of RAD is a charity event with all proceeds going to the Childrens Heart Investigation Unit at Heath Hospital in Cardiff, South Wales.
Skateboarding has always been good for the soul…now it can help fix Hearts too. Nice.
